Hi Jessica,
Fun to hear about others like myself. I've been living on the road out of a van for the past 10 months and working across the whole country, It definitely is a challenge. Every city is different as far as where to park, and where to find a shower. Good luck to you.

It was based on his own experience of driving an underpowered car around the mountains of Colorado.

The windows are happily tinted now. The problem is not what state you get the windows tinted in, but what state the car is registered in. So my windows are now tinted as much as California allows, which is actually pretty dark, though unfortunately doesn't include the front windows.

A Prius will do reasonably well in the mountains. Not great, but then, most fairly underpowered, normally-aspirated cars don't like mountains all that much. Who gave you that silly advice?

I doubt you'll have any real problems, aside from maybe having to move into the right lane on occasion.

Further, I recommend having your windows tinted in a state that lest you tint the front windows as well as the rears.
