I spent about four days on the north shore of Oahu at the beginning of my trip. There was a surfing competition going on that I never actually made it to (it was on hold the whole time I was there because of weather) but I did hang out on the beach one afternoon playing around with my new telescoping lens taking pictures of the surfers. I was impressed by the size of these waves, but these ones are nothing compared to what they surf during the competitions.
