Basically Live Journal is another blogging tool.  Very much text based.  The advantage is that it lets you easily create a feed of all your friend&#039;s journals.  (It was started up before there were many good RSS readers).  Also, when you&#039;re posting you can mark entries as public, friends only, or private, or put a filter on it so only specific people can see it.  

That&#039;s the free version anyway.  There&#039;s perks if you pay, but I don&#039;t know a lot about what they offer.</description>
