I just finished the Michael Pollan book “A place of my own: the education of an ameteur builder”. It’s about him (he’s the guy who wrote “Omnivore’s Dilemma” and “In Defense of Food” – both also good) building a little writing house on his land in CT. Not about traveling, but kind of about finding a place for oneself. And it was good. So if you’re looking for something else to read… Oh, and his other books that I said above. And Barbara Kingsolver’s book “Animal, Vegetable, Miracle” about growing her own food for a year (recommended by Margot). And “Why zebras don’t get ulcers” about stress and physiology (still need to finish that one… Keep not quite having time to finish it during vacation then forget what I’ve read and repeat some of it).
